An Email from the Dandelion

The dandlions are precious at every stage of their life.

Hello, Good people,

how is it fair to us, the Dandelions

are called weeds, in fact, the aggressive kind

that people raze to the ground?

You kill us for we spoil the looks of your lawns

us, with our happy yellow

because you want the green of grass.

You kill

because our pollen may trigger allergies

but then, are we the confirmed kind

to kill for everyone and anyone?

Good People,

your hypocrisy shows up on shop racks

where neatly packed dandelion tea advocates

our roots, stems, leaves, and flowers

to consume for the benefits of vitamins A, B, C, and D?

Hello, Humans

If we could only send you a video

of our screams when your lawn keeper

runs his machine over us

and you could get our helpless death cries.

Perhaps one day, science will inform

that you better keep your weeds in your lawns
