Meaning of Life

1 min readMar 25, 2025
Every wave has its version of life.

For me

the morsel of bread, a glass of water

to fill my empty stomach

is the meaning of life

at this moment.

For someone else, a pot roast, vintage wine

caviar and rich ice cream fills

the wildest dreams.

To me, the meaning of life is having someone

by my side,

to have a shoulder to lean on,

to share words of sorrow and joy.

To you, it might be spending hours

all alone behind closed doors.

To you, life may mean life in a castle

and to its shelter against rain and sun

beneath a thatched roof.

Not one single meaning of life

would define endless lives

that come and go over the

wheel of eternity.

There is freedom in letting life be

a sea with meanings written;

with every wave that finds home

when it meets the shore.
