The beginning of summer and an intense comedown from global warming hit the city of Atlanta, Georgia. The heat was near in the 80s, and the sun blazed happily all day. Mid-afternoon, I sat in the front passenger seat with my son at the wheel. The car’s AC pushed cool air out, and my son seemed comfortable. For me, though, after a decade of living in Massachusetts, the heat wave was getting on my nerves.
